Kyrgyzstan has launched the Tamchy special financial investment territory (SFIT) - a new international jurisdiction in Central Asia aimed at attracting global capital, financial institutions, and technology companies. The first residents, companies from the Republic of Korea, the UAE, Hong Kong, Switzerland and Kazakhstan, have already joined.

Kyrgyzstan has launched the Tamchy Special Financial Investment Territory on Lake Issyk-Kul. This new jurisdiction aims to attract foreign investment and facilitate cross-border business operations. Companies from several nations have already registered as its first resident businesses. The territory offers a zero tax regime for qualifying residents for up to forty-nine years. It also provides a regulatory sandbox for technology companies and virtual asset work.

Kyrgyzstan is not the first country to launch a special financial zone in hopes of attracting global capital. But it may be one of the most unexpected. The Central Asian nation of just over 7 million people, with a GDP of around $20 billion, has unveiled the Tamchy Special Financial and Investment Territory — an ambitious project on the shores of Lake Issyk-Kul that aims to transform the country into a regional magnet for finance, technology and cross-border investment.
